The unity grind looks hard, but it really isn't, it just takes a little practice, and once you have gotton it, it'll stay with you for a long time. If you can do a frontside, and are comfortable with royales – grinding in the groove between the outside frame and the outside boot – you should be able to do this trick! It is like a frontside, but your legs are crossed!
When doing the unity, your back leg's foot is put in front of the other, so that the leg's foot is grinding in front of the other. When doing a savannah, your back leg's foot is put behind the other, so that the leg's foot is grinding in front of the other.
Approach the obstacle with a moderate speed – you can do this trick with just any speed, so you can just slow down, if you do not feel comfortable with it. Jump and cross your legs as you land. It is easier if you land in the groove. When your skates are positioned in the grooves of the two skates, you are perfectly balanced – even more than in a frontside. If you can't get your skates to be in the groove, just go lower – bend down in your legs. If you go too low, your skates will slide out of the groove, so stay in the royale groove, or where your frame matches with your groove.

ive been trying 180 unitys but i always do a fast slide and it sucks because i fall:(
i guess it would actually be a 270 unity
i used to do these, they look good if you sit low while doing it
dude ive been working on these for weeks and i cant do them…my friend did it in a couple of minutes
damn this trick is so hard, my friend riding for 3 years and have problems with this trick
i know this will make it sound hard, but if you can do a byn soul, turn your front foot like an acid, dont even think about it as a cross legged grind
this shit is easy i did it last night on a huge rail pornstar to untity. the shits basic
im guessing a unity cess would be sum tuff shit…
xeroslastdestiny : dude, its about how u look at it. when i do it, i think of it kinda like an acid, just dont turn the back foot. and if that dont work…u suck. jk. just practice.
Hey all! Are you all scared or something… or are you just fucking bad that you cant do anything! Just get6 the fuck up and dont be so afraid! Nothing will happen if you fall once or twice! I mastered all of the grinds in 1 year of riding! If you want to able to do the Unity Grind find a metal or aluminium bench and try doing a frontside… then try doing a royale! if you made those tricks try doing the unity grind after a soul slide (soul to unity). then after all of these stuff you should be able to jump on the rails and go straight to unity. after you mastered all of those (which should take about 1 week maximum) try doing the whole thing on a original rail in a skatepark or something and not on the street because its harder. The whole thing should take about a month if you ride 2 times a week or more.
try keeping the front crossed foot frontside and the back inside
its easy
haha i can unity cess sldie! but it's not very low. if you'd like to see, i have a youtube account under the username of carpetcrap. go see! (=

soooo hard!!!
I have a hard time locking a unity. My front foot always seems to slide off the ledge. ANy Ideas on keeping my balence and foot on top without sliding off?
-Derick
unity isnt that complicated as long as you focus. Learn to stall it on something like a curb first for comfort.
I'll try to help: go parallel with the ledge/rail. jump, turn sideways while crossing your feet. Your feet should naturally be crossing as you turn sideways in the air. Don't throw them around, this will make you less comfortable.
Also, keep your feet between a foot and two feet apart. If you have them out too far, you will slide down to your knees. If you have them too close, you will feel real unbalanced and might stick.
Look down the rail/ledge as always.. your body follows where your head goes. If you don't believe me, try it on other applications, such as walking on a straight line while looking different directions.
